COVID-19 RAMADAN NEW MEASURES

One of the members of Turkey’s Coronavirus Science Board has said that additional measures could be taken during the month of Ramadan. Associate Professor Dr. Afşin KAÇMAZ attended the 4th International Congress of Health Sciences and Life organized by a university in Turkey as a speaker.

“ADDITIONAL MEASURES MAY COME”

The associate professor noted that the Scientific Council’s efforts continued to obtain the highest possible quantities of the vaccine. The doctor said, “Due to problems arising from the manufacturer countries, the quantities we want have not come so far. I hope that if the remaining doses come, we will be in a much better position than we are now at Eid al-Fitr with the measures that will be taken as we will do much more vaccination.

The professor went on to share following:

“It seems that certain additional measures may also be on the agenda during the month of Ramadan. Remote work in the public sector, private sector, some closure decisions can be considered. The pandemic is a process we have to fight together. Yes, our government makes some decisions. We, as citizens, have to abide by these decisions. The fist-shaped form of greeting has evolved where there is also physical contact and the risk of transmission. Just as we don’t shake hands, there shouldn’t be a fist-shaped salute. At the meeting of the Scientific Council, measures to reduce the number of cases and reduce human mobility will be raised during the month of Ramadan. After discussion here, it will be presented to our presidential cabinet by our minister. Remote work in the public sector, in the private sector, some closure decisions can be considered.”
