Countdown starts for Turkey’s biggest ‘lifestyle’ marathon Runtalya

The marathon “Rantalya Presented by Fraport TAV”, the largest lifestyle marathon of Turkey with the largest participation of foreign athletes which has made Antalya, the capital of sport tourism will be run for the 17th time this year, on March 6.

 “Runtalya Presented by Fraport TAV” is the first and largest lifestyle marathon event in Turkey and scheduled to start for the 17th time, on March 6.

The event which has been taking place since 2006 and organized by Turset Project Management, is also the first marathon to be run in our country in 2022.

“Runtalya Presented by Fraport TAV” which brings together professional and amateur runners who have adopted sports and healthy living as a lifestyle, as well as non-governmental organizations and brands in a festive atmosphere, will also be the scene of a high-level international participation this year. In addition to runners from all over Turkey, especially from big cities such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, athletes and clubs from more than 20 countries will meet in Antalya.

200 of about 8,500 runners are expected to be foreign participants

The race, which took place in 2021 with a limited number of participants under pandemic conditions, hosted about 5 thousand runners, 420 of whom were foreign. This year, the participation has increased again, exceeding about 8,500 runners, 200 of whom are foreigners.
