Critical statement from Russia: “Operation against northern Syria is Turkey’s legal right”

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitriy Peskov said the operation against northern Syria was Turkey’s legal right. He went on to say, “We understand and respect Turkey’s concerns about its own security. We call on all parties to refrain from steps that could lead to a serious destabilization of the situation. This can spin like a boomerang and further complicate the security situation.”

Regarding the Claw-Sword Air Operation organized by Turkey against terrorist targets in northern Syria, PESKOV noted the following:
