Denmark removes Covid-19 from “critical illness” category
Denmark has decided to remove Covid-19 from the “critical illness” category and lift all restrictions as of February 1. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that as they had excluded Covid-19 from the “socially critical illness” category, they also decided to lift all restrictions as of February 1 and had full support from other parties in parliament as well.
Frederiksen noted that the introduction of a vaccination passport will continue for entries to Denmark from abroad, adding: “We have decided to remove all restrictions from February 1. February January The number of people infected with Covid-19 will peak at the beginning of February, and then there will be declines.”
On September 10, 2021, it was announced that the outbreak had been fully contained in Denmark and therefore all measures had been lifted. Subsequently, after the cases got out of control, restrictions started to be applied again from November 15, 2021.
