Due to heavy snowfall across the country, schools in 34 provinces have been closed. According to announcements made by governorships and district governorships, schools have been suspended in many cities and districts due to the risk of heavy snow and icing.

Provinces where education has been interrupted include Çankırı, Tokat, Kastamonu, Niğde, Trabzon, Bingöl, Erzurum, Samsun, Kırşehir, Karaman, Karabük, Aksaray, Sinop, Malatya, Giresun, Yozgat, Artvin, and Ordu.

In areas where schools are closed, pregnant and disabled public employees, as well as mothers with children attending school, will also be granted administrative leave.

School closures were implemented due to snow, blizzards, icing, and potential disruptions to transportation. Authorities have urged citizens to remain cautious due to the adverse weather conditions.
