Economy in Turkey: Borsa Istanbul starts week with a record

The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul saw its new historical peak with 5,724 points after starting the week with an increase

While the positive outlook continues in Borsa Istanbul, retail and information technologies started the day ahead with a value increase of over 2%. The sports index, which declined by 1% at the opening, was the only sector that started the day on the downside.

Banks, on the other hand, made a horizontal start with the sale in the first transactions after starting the day with a rise of 0.5%.

BIST 100 INDEX BREAKS RECORD WITH 5,724 POINTS

While the positive momentum continued in the first hour in the BIST 100 index, the index moved above 5,705 points, breaking the record of the last peak level of 5,704.83 points.

EUREN, ULUUN, MAVI, PSGYO, ERBOS were stocks that started the day with buyers on the BIST 100 index. KLRHO, FENER, ALARK, ZOREN and ASELS shares started the day with a partial decline.
