Economy in Turkey: Istanbul Stock Market ends the day with decrease on October 11, 2023

The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul completed the day with a 1.33% loss. The BIST 100 index decreased by 112.15 points compared to the previous closing, with a total trading volume of 132.2 billion Turkish Lira.

While the banking index gained 0.73% in value, the holding index lost 1.99% in value. Among the sector indices, communication was the highest gainer with 1.95%, and insurance was the biggest loser with 4.23%.

According to reports, analysts stated that the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas remained at the forefront of investors’ concerns.

Analysts noted that from a technical perspective, the BIST 100 index has support at the 8,400 and 8,300 levels, and resistance at 8,500 and 8,600 points.
