Economy Minister Zeybekci: We will see double-digit growth in exports in February
Economy Minister Zeybekci said that double-digit growth would continue in February and this would be reflected positively in 2018 exports. Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci also said, “We will be at the point we want to be again with an annual average growth of more than 7 percent and over 6 percent (2017) in the last quarter.” Zeybekci stated that in the first two months of this year a growth of double digit figure will be realized. Exports in the first month of the year grew by more than 15 percent and were announced as TL 12.2 billion.
Minister Zeybekci said that starting the last 3 months of 2016, they had achieved all their objectives related to exports, investment and production. Zeybekci also stated that they had met many times with the presidents of the exporters associations until today and evaluated the problems of the exporters.
Zeybekci provided some examples of incentives provided for exporters, said such as freight support, export support, Turkish Trade Centers abroad, increase of Turkish Eximbank’s capacity in dollar terms.
