Erdogan and Putin discuss the Russia-Ukraine war: Putin voices his conditions

Russian news agency RIA has reported that President Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin have met on the phone. It was noted that the two names discussed the war in Ukraine and Erdogan called for peace. Putin, on the other hand, shared his one and only condition for the end of the war.

Several countries including France and the UK to include Turkey had declared they were ready for mediation between Ukraine and Russia. President Erdogan also held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin today.

HARSH STATEMENT FROM KREMLIN AFTER THE MEETING

After the meeting, “last-minute” statements came from the Kremlin… In a statement it said, “Putin told Erdogan that Russia was ready for dialogue with Ukraine and its foreign partners. Putin said that the steps in Ukraine were going according to plan and on schedule.”

On the other hand, the Kremlin announced following as well: “Putin said the military operation could only be stopped when Ukraine’s fighting would be over,” adding “the military operation in Ukraine will be stopped if Russia’s demands are met.”
