President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced that he will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump on September 25 in Washington. Sharing the news on social media platform X, Erdoğan highlighted that the discussions will focus on trade, investment, and defense industry cooperation, along with several other critical issues.

In his post, Erdoğan described Trump as a “valued friend” and underlined that their talks will strengthen the comprehensive strategic relationship between the two allies. He added that the meeting is expected to further deepen bilateral cooperation while also contributing to efforts for regional peace and stability.

Erdoğan’s Vision for Peace and Cooperation

Erdoğan emphasized that the talks will not only revolve around economic and defense matters but will also address ongoing conflicts across the region. He expressed hope that the dialogue would help pave the way for an end to wars and clashes, aligning with a shared vision of global peace.

Trump Highlights Defense and Aviation Deals

Prior to Erdoğan’s announcement, Trump also confirmed the meeting through Truth Social. He said he was pleased to welcome President Erdoğan to the White House and looked forward to their discussions.

Trump pointed out that the agenda will include the large-scale purchase of Boeing aircraft, the F-16 agreement, and the F-35 negotiations, which he expects to reach a positive outcome. Stressing his good relationship with Erdoğan, Trump remarked that he is eager to see him on the 25th.
