Erdogan: I gave the instruction, prices will fall in 30-40 products

President Erdogan said, “Agricultural Credit Cooperatives have received our instructions. Cattle will be sold at a discount of 30-35 percent” adding that prices would be reduced not only for meat products, but also for 30-40 products such as flour, olive oil and sugar.

Last weekend, SOZCU newspaper made a headline revealing the price change in some products in grocery stores belonging to Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, where President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also shopped. After our news, a remarkable step came from President Erdogan.

30-35 PERCENT DISCOUNT

Speaking at the opening ceremony of 34 hydroelectric power plants today, Erdogan said the following about Agricultural Credit Cooperative markets:

– Those who make it difficult for my citizen to shop in the markets, they received the instruction. From now on, sheep meat will be sold aith 25 percent discount… We started it. I also spoke with the President of the Agricultural Credit Cooperative this morning. We will also start selling cattle meat with 30-35 percent discount.

“OUR INSTRUCTIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS”

– But we will make this discount as an Agricultural Loan. Only in meat and minced meat, cubed, etc? No. In other products of Tarım Kredi, sugar, wheat flour, etc. as well, whatever comes to mind … olive oil, sunflower oil in all of these, especially in 30-40 kinds of products.

– These products will also be discounted quickly. Our instruction is this… the break-even point. You’re not going to work for profit. You will protect my citizen at the head-to-head point (Erdogan said to the Cooperative).
