Export unit price of SİHAs manufactured by Turkey has reached a record high

At the November assembly meeting of the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry, Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün shared significant updates on Turkey’s defense industry goals and projects. Emphasizing the sector’s progress, Görgün noted that Turkey’s defense industry was enjoying a substantial growth.

Görgün noted that he annual growth was 20%, with exports reaching $5.5 billion in 2023 and a target of $6.5 billion for 2024. For 2025, the export goal is set at $7.3 billion, with plans to increase the workforce to 110,000 and the domestic production rate to 82%.

The meeting also discussed the per-kilogram value of Turkish defense products. Görgün highlighted that SİHAs (UCAV / armed drones) had a per-kilogram value of over $10,000, while electro-optical systems exceeded $20,000, underscoring Turkey’s competitive position in the international market with high-tech products.

Görgün further announced that, following successful test flights, the HÜRJET training and light attack aircraft had entered the serial production phase and was attracting substantial interest from international customers. Once production is complete, the HÜRJET will be available for use by allied nations. He also noted that Turkey had established a broad customer network with over 50 international offices worldwide, aiming to enhance the influence of Turkish defense in the global market.
