Fethiye Municipality deploys barriers to prevent motorbike entries on the walking paths on the coastline
It is a known fact that Fethiye is very crowded in summers, in particular with a substantial number of domestic and foreign tourists on top of residents. Also, the traffic chaos caused by motorbikes as well as others such as electric bicycles is a headache for the municipality. Therefore the municipality has taken the following pre-caution to have control over said chaos
Fethiye Municipality has deployed smart crossing barriers to prevent motorbike entries on the walking paths on the coastline and in the market center. It has also created special crossing areas for citizens using wheelchairs and baby strollers.
With this application, which was launched on the Çalış Beach, Fethiye Corniche 2nd Stage coastline and market center, the safety of citizens and children walking is supposed to have been ensured, and penalties are also continuing.
The municipality has made the following request as well: “Please do not enter the walking paths on the coastline and in the market with motorbikes.”
