Minister Şimşek’s statements are as follows:

– “We are progressing towards our goals with determined steps.

– With our rational, predictable, and rule-based policies, our economy is heading towards more balanced and sustainable growth.

– The contribution of net external demand to growth was positive at 1.6 points after five quarters.

– The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 8.7%, the lowest level in the last 44 quarters.

– In the second half of the year, we foresee growth supported by more favorable external conditions and moderate domestic demand, with net external demand contributing positively to growth this year.

– Thanks to our program, the balanced growth composition, decreasing current account deficit, increased confidence, improved expectations, and accelerated external capital inflows will significantly contribute to disinflation.”
