Health Minister says effectiveness of two doses of the Sinovac vaccine is 83.5 percent

The results of phase-3 studies of the Sinovac vaccine in Turkey have been revealed. Regarding the issue Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has said, “Phase-3 studies of Chinese origin Sinovac vaccine (CoronaVac) has been completed in Turkey. Effectiveness of two doses of said vaccine was found  to be 83.5 percent.”

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca shared explanations on his social media account. Announcing the effectiveness rate of the Sinovac vaccine, which is also used in Turkey, Koca said:;

“The two-dose effectiveness of the Chinese-origin Sinovac vaccine (CoronaVac), whose phase-3 studies in Turkey were completed was found to be 83.5 percent.

The results of the research conducted with 10,218 people were published in The Lancet, one of the famous journals of the medical world.”

THEY STAY IN BED LESS

It was noted that those who received two doses or a single dose of the vaccine were on average 6 days less sick, while it was emphasized that these people spent 2 days less in bed with the disease on average. These people also had a 60 percent less risk of symptoms.
