“High temperature” alarm for Marmara and Aegean! How many degrees will Istanbul see?

HOT WEATHER IN TURKEY

The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has issued a high temperature warning for the Marmara and Aegean Regions starting from Wednesday, July 19.

TEMPERATURE WILL RISE IN MARMARA

In a statement made by MGM Istanbul Regional Forecast and Early Warning Center the region will be affected by a heat wave from noon on Wednesday, July 19, and temperatures are expected to rise 3-8 degrees above seasonal norms throughout the region.

As of Wednesday, the air temperatures are expected to hover around 32-35 degrees in Istanbul, 38-41 degrees in Edirne, 35-39 degrees in Kırklareli, 33-36 degrees in Tekirdağ, 37-39 degrees in Kocaeli, 35-37 degrees in Sakarya and 31-33 degrees in Yalova.

Due to the temperatures above the seasonal norm, the elderly, children and those with chronic conditions were asked to be careful and cautious against heat stroke between 11.00 and 16.00.

HOT WEATHER IN THE AEGEAN WILL BE EFFECTIVE UNTIL JULY 24

It was reported that the air temperature in the Aegean Region would rise by 3 to 6 degrees above seasonal norms and be effective until July 24.

The Second Regional Directorate of Meteorology announced that the effect of the heat wave, effective in Izmir, Aydın, Manisa, Balıkesir and Çanakkale, would continue to increase until July 24.
