Home sales in Turkey decrease in July

Home sales across Turkey decreased by 12.9 percent in July compared to the same month of the previous year and became 93 thousand 902.

In housing sales, Istanbul had the highest share with 14 thousand 350 housing sales and 15.3 percent. According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with the sale of 7,417 houses and a share of 7.9 percent and Izmir with the sale of 4,868 houses and a share of 5.2 percent.

The provinces with the lowest number of housing sales were Hakkari and Ardahan with 31 housing units and Şırnak with 49 housing units, respectively.

In January-July period housing sales increased by 24.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 820 thousand 300.
