Huge investment by Turkish Armed Forces Foundation in Balıkesir

İşbir Elektrik Sanayi A.Ş (Electric Industry co), an affiliate of the Foundation for Strengthening of Turkish Armed Forces (TSKGV) will invest 50 million Turkish Liras on a 31,500 square meters area at the Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) in BALIKESIR city. It is reported that when the investment is completed, 200 jobs will be provided in Balikesir district while the annual production will be increased from 500 to 5000 units. The establisment produces generators of all types and alternators.

İşbir Electric Industry Company is an affiliate of the Foundation for Strengthening of Turkish Armed Forces and one of the leading establishments in its sector. It is also reported that there are plans to host more investments to be made by other defense industry establishments (affiliates of the same foundation) such as ASELSAN, TAI, ROKETSAN etc. in the same area in the close future.

The administration targets to establish and bring domestic technology to support the renewable energy sector which is on a rising trend in the country for a while now. The establishments owned by the foundation have been quite successful in recent years and in fact 3 of them hold places on the first one hundred defense companies list in the world which is considered to be a source of pride for Turkey.
