BRITISH TOURIST STABBED TO DEATH

A 26-year-old British tourist, A.M.D., who was staying at a hotel in the Fatih district of Istanbul, was found dead, stabbed with a screwdriver, by her husband A.Y.M. Upon hearing noises, hotel staff went to the room where the British tourist was staying. Upon entering the room, the hotel staff found the British tourist lying in a pool of blood. Health teams, called to the scene, determined that the tourist had lost her life.

Police teams initiated an investigation into the incident.

Upon examination of the lifeless body of the tourist, it was found that there were 41 stab wounds on her throat and body, and she had been killed with a screwdriver.

The Fatih District Police Department launched an operation to find A.Y.M., the husband. During the operation, the suspect was apprehended, and it was noticed that the white T-shirt he was wearing was bloody. The suspect, who confessed to the murder, claimed to have thrown the screwdriver into the toilet in the room.

During the search in the room, a screwdriver was found, and the bloody T-shirt worn by the suspect was also seized. The suspect, confessing to the crime, stated that on the day of the incident, the woman he lived with had given him drugs, and later, an argument had broken out between them. He recounted that after this argument, he repeatedly stabbed her with the screwdriver and then fled from the scene. An extensive investigation into the incident is ongoing.

In the examination, it was determined that the British couple had arrived in Istanbul from England three days ago. The couple, who entered Turkey from Sabiha Gökçen Airport on the same day, were found to have checked into the hotel in Fatih, where the incident occurred.
