INCI Holding of Turkey and GS YUASA of Japan open 3rd battery factory in Turkey

İnci GS Yuasa which is a joint venture of INCI Holding and the world battery giant, Japanese GS Yuasa have already reached the 250 million TL investment target for the first 5 years of their partnership, in their fourth year. The company has increased its battery production capacity to 7 million units per year with the new plant.

The grand opening of the new batter factory took place with the participation of Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, Manisa Governor Ahmet Deniz, Japan’s ambassador to Turkey Akio Miyajima and Japan’s Consul General in Istanbul Hisao Nishimaki.

Construction started in September 2017 and the factory, located in Manisa (OSB) was built on an area of ​​98 thousand square meters with 18 thousand square meters closed area, and cost TL 120 million. The total closed production area reached 47 thousand square meters and the total annual production capacity of 5 million automotive batteries increased to 7 million units.

INCI GS Yuasa exports about 60 percent of the batteries produced in Turkey to over 80 countries on 6 continents. In the new factory, new generation batteries are produced with the highest quality standards for high technology start / stop vehicle batteries and automotive main industry suppliers.
