Inflation in Istanbul is at the peak of 27 years with 108.8 percent

According to Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) data, consumer prices in the city increased by 108.8 percent compared to last year.

ITO has published the livelihood index for October. The upward acceleration in inflation indicators in Istanbul continued in October.

The annual change in the retail price index (107.42 percent) rose to the highest level since February 1998. Inflation increased by 3.96 percent on a monthly basis.

Inflation in Istanbul increased by 107.42 percent annually in September and by 6.06 percent on a monthly basis.
