IRAN ATTACK ON ISRAEL

Tension in the Middle East is escalating by the minute… Following Israel’s bombing of the consulate building in Damascus, Iran carried out a retaliatory drone attack. This was followed by statements from numerous countries.

Amidst crisis after crisis in the Middle East in recent years, last night the entire region was on edge…

After Israel’s airstrike on Iran’s consulate compound in Damascus on April 1st, the Tehran government, promising retaliation, took action. While 7 people, including 2 generals from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, lost their lives in Israel’s attack, Iran retaliated against Israel last night with over 100 drones and missiles.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps stated, “The drone attack on Israel was in response to Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria. The Revolutionary Guard Corps Air Force targeted some of the Zionist regime’s territories with dozens of drones and missiles.”

ISRAEL: WE THWARTED THE FIRST WAVE

In the initial statement from the Israeli army after the attack began, it was said, “Our defense systems are ready to deal with the attacks.”

The army statement also mentioned that it would take hours for the drones to reach Israel, stating, “Sirens will sound in threatened areas.”

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, in a video statement, said that Israel had thwarted the first wave of Iran’s drone and missile attack. Gallant also emphasized that the conflict was ongoing.

BIDEN WARNED NETANYAHU

Meanwhile, Axios, a US-based media outlet, reported from high-level sources in the White House that US President Joe Biden warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Biden reportedly warned Netanyahu against attacking Iran, stating that he did not want the situation to escalate. It was also noted that Biden told Netanyahu that Iran’s attacks had been unsuccessful thanks to joint defense efforts between Israel, the US, and other regional countries, and he told Netanyahu, “You have won a victory. Take this victory.”

In a public statement, President Biden condemned Iran’s attack on Israel, stating, “Tomorrow, I will convene my G7 counterparts to coordinate a united diplomatic response to Iran’s brazen attack.”

Sources also revealed that Biden told Netanyahu that the US would not participate in any potential Israeli counterattack against Iran and Netanyahu responded with “understood.”

IRAN THREATENS US

Iranian state television announced that Tehran had sent a message to the US through Switzerland…

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, stated in a televised interview, “If Israel retaliates against Iran, our response will be much larger than last night’s military action.”

Iran’s warning stated that if the Washington administration supports Israel’s retaliation, US military bases will be targeted. While the announcement did not specify which US bases would be targeted, the US has military bases in numerous countries in the region.

In addition to Turkey, the US has military bases in countries such as Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, where US troops are stationed.

Commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, also warned that Iran would retaliate against any Israeli attack on its interests, officials, or citizens.
