Iran launches large-scale attack on Israel, firing 250 ballistic missiles

Meanwhile, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps confirmed the attack, stating that it was launched as revenge for “Haniye, Nasrallah, and Nilfuruşan.” Iran also warned that if Israel retaliates, it would face even heavier attacks.

IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced that Israel would respond to the attack at an appropriate time and place. U.S. President Joe Biden convened his national security team to assess Iran’s preparations for the attack. The discussion also covered U.S. support for Israel and the status of American troops in the region. Israel expects a large-scale attack from Iran, and Israeli citizens were warned to seek shelter when sirens sound.

Jordan and Iraq closed their airspace to flights following Iran’s attack on Israel. The tension between Iran and Israel has escalated recently, amid broader conflicts in the Middle East. U.S. officials had previously indicated signs that Iran was preparing for a ballistic missile attack on Israel.
