Istanbul Chamber of Commerce announces inflation rate for September in Istanbul as 73.18 percent

According to İTO, the inflation rate in Istanbul for September on an annual basis increased by 73.18%, and on a monthly basis, it increased by 5.46%.
The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO) has released the inflation rate for September in Istanbul. According to this data, consumer prices in Istanbul increased by 73.18% on an annual basis in September, while wholesale prices increased by 67.79%.
In August, the annual increase in consumer prices was 74.17%, and the monthly increase was 8.8%.
In September 2023, in Istanbul, the Istanbul Cost of Living Index, which is an indicator of retail price movements, increased by 5.46% compared to the previous month, while the Wholesale Commodity Prices Index, which reflects wholesale price movements, increased by 3.94%.
INCREASES IN EXPENDITURE GROUPS
In September 2023, compared to the previous month, there was an increase in retail prices as follows: Other Expenses group increased by 48.08%, Clothing Expenses by 14.50%, Culture, Education, and Entertainment Expenses by 7.38%, Household Goods Expenses by 4.47%, Food Expenses by 4.31%, Health and Personal Care Expenses by 3.50%, Housing Expenses by 3.22%, and Transportation and Communication Expenses by 0.38%.
