It has been suggested that Şahin and Türeci’s photos be printed on euro banknotes

European Parliament (AP)-MEP Moritz Körner said photos of Prof. Dr. Ugur Sahin and his wife Dr. Özlem Türeci both co-founders of the German biotechnology company BioNTech, which has developed the Covid-19 vaccine, be placed on euro banknotes.

Körner, a politician with the German Free Democratic Party (FPD) went  on to say, “Their work has saved the lives of millions of Europeans.”
