Kılıçdaroğlu, leader of Republican People’s Party announces candidate for local election in Ankara
During the 100th-anniversary celebrations of his party, CHP General Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu attended the opening of the CHP 100th Anniversary Memorial Forest.
In his speech, Kılıçdaroğlu conveyed messages regarding the local elections and stated that their candidate for the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality would be the current mayor, Mansur Yavaş.
“He is our mayor and our mayoral candidate,” Kılıçdaroğlu said.
Ankara and especially Istanbul are expected to be the cities where the biggest battles will take place in the local elections. The opposition has not yet announced a candidate for Istanbul. However, it is expected that the current mayor, Ekrem İmamoğlu, will run for re-election.
