KUSADASI starts to host cruise ship again, after the pandemic

After the pandemic, with the resumption of cruise ship services, giant cruise ships began to anchor one after another at Turkish ports. After Costa Venezia visited Turkey at the end of April, KUSADASI Egeport which hosts the highest number of ships,  also hosted the gigantic ship, Odyssey of the seas operated by Global Ports Holding.

With the arrival of Odyssey of the Seas in the Aegean Port of Kusadasi, the record for the largest ship arriving in Turkish ports was broken in 2 weeks. Odyssey of the Seas, one of the newest ships of Royal Carribean Cruise Lines to land at sea in 2021, is 347 meters tall and has a capacity of 5,500 passengers, has 14 decks, 15 restaurants, 2 pools and 2,105 cabins.

16 voyages planned to KUSADASI this year

Odyssey of the Seas, which has the distinction of being the largest cruise ship to arrive in Turkey to date, was welcomed with a band and a public concert team in the Aegean Port of KUSADASI with a total of 4,281 passengers. Tourists who left the ship after entering the country also visited the world-famous Ancient City of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary.

The ship, which made its first voyage on May 11, plans to make 16 voyages to KUSADASI this year.
