Lufthansa suspends flights to Ukraine

Germany and France have issued urgent calls to their citizens due to the growing tension in Ukraine. Citizens of Germany have been warned not to travel to Ukraine, the German Foreign Ministry said in a statement. The statement called for the Germans to leave the country urgently, and citizens were asked to leave Ukraine on time.

Lufthansa suspends flights to Kiev

Companies such as Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), Austrian Airlines and Swiss International Air Lines as well as German-based airline Lufthansa announced that they had suspended flights to Ukraine between 21-28 February.

France has updated the warnings

The French Foreign Ministry, on the other hand, asked French citizens to leave Ukraine, postponing planned and non-mandatory trips to this country.

US warns of ‘terrorist attack in Russian cities’

The US Embassy has warned its citizens on its website. In concerned statement it was shared that there could be actions in St. Petersburg and other large cities, as well as in the regions bordering Ukraine. The statement said “According to media reports, Moscow and St. There is a threat of attacks targeting shopping malls, train and metro stations and other crowded places in large cities, including St. Petersburg, as well as in areas bordering Russia’s Ukraine.”
