Yavuz made statements regarding the weather temperatures to be observed nationwide at the Meteorology General Directorate.

Yavuz stated that rain starting tomorrow morning in the western regions would be seen in most parts of the country over a 5-day period, saying, “While rain in the western regions is expected to be in the form of thunderstorms, we expect temperatures to drop due to a new rainy weather coming from the north starting from Wednesday, and rain mixed with snow is expected in the inland areas of the Black Sea and the highlands of Eastern Anatolia.”

Yavuz reported that strong southwestern winds would be effective in the south of the Aegean, the west of the Mediterranean, and the south of Central Anatolia tomorrow, warning drivers to be cautious.

After the rain is seen in Eastern Anatolia over the weekend, it will leave the country, and a new system will be observed, said Yavuz, adding:

“Temperatures are currently above seasonal norms, but the decline will begin from Wednesday. Temperatures will be at seasonal norms on Thursday and Friday, and will drop below seasonal norms over the weekend. According to initial evaluations, March will bring cold weather. A rapid temperature drop of around 10 degrees nationwide could be seen. Our citizens feel comfortable when they see warm weather during seasonal transitions, but it is necessary not to be deceived by spring. Attention should be paid to the weather conditions starting from Wednesday.”
