Mask warning from Fahrettin KOCA, Turkey’s Health Minister

Regarding the lifting of the mask requirement indoors, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said, “Hereafter, it should become a habit to wear a mask in case of transmission risk.”

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca visited Aydın Governorate. Here, he answered questions from journalists.

The Minister shared following on the occasion:

“The Scientific Council held its last meeting yesterday. It was explained that there would be no mask use in any area other than in transportation and medical institutions only, until the number of cases drops below a thousand.

Airplanes, education, closed areas and all institutions will be included in this. We know that the mask is protective, in case of an infection, it is preventive in infecting someone else.”

The Minister also shared the following:

MASKS SHOULD BE USED TO INFECT OTHERS IN CASE OF UPPER RESPIRATORY TRACT INFECTION

“If any of our citizens feels an upper respiratory tract infection hereafter, they should wear a mask to avoid infecting someone else, this should be a habit for us. We know that the mask is protective, prevents the risk of transmission.”
