Meteorological Warnings for Istanbul and Other Regions: Heavy Snow, Strong Winds, and Cold Weather

The Turkish State Meteorological Service has continued its warnings for Istanbul, Kırklareli, and Tekirdağ. It has been reported that heavy snow is expected in certain areas, and due to the strong winds, caution is advised.
According to the forecasts, the weather across Turkey will be partly cloudy with widespread clouds. Rain is expected in Eastern Marmara, Central and Eastern Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Western and Central Black Sea, the western part of Eastern Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia, Tekirdağ, Kırklareli, Kütahya, Giresun, Erzurum, Muş, Bitlis, Karaman, and the inner parts of Rize.
Rain is expected on the Mediterranean coast, the Central Black Sea coast, and around Giresun, while other areas will experience mixed rain and snow.
In the northwest of Istanbul, the eastern part of Kırklareli, and the northeast of Tekirdağ, locally heavy snow is expected.
Winds: Strong northerly winds (40-60 km/h) are expected in the Marmara and Aegean coastal regions. In the morning and evening hours, frost and ice formation along with fog and localized mist are expected in the inland and eastern parts of the country.
Avalanche Risk: There is an avalanche risk in the higher elevations of the interior of the Eastern Black Sea and the steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.
Air Temperature: There is no significant change expected in air temperatures, which will continue to stay below seasonal norms.
Wind: The wind is expected to be generally light from the north, with moderate gusts, while in the west of Marmara and the Aegean coast, the winds will be stronger (40-60 km/h).
Heavy Snow Warning: Heavy snow (5-15 cm) is expected in the northwest of Istanbul, the eastern part of Kırklareli, and the northeast of Tekirdağ. Caution is advised regarding potential disruptions in transportation, frost, and ice conditions.
Strong Wind Warning: Strong winds (40-60 km/h) from the north are expected in the western Marmara and Aegean coast. People are advised to take precautions against potential negative effects.
Avalanche Risk and Frost and Ice Warning: There is an avalanche risk in the higher elevations of the interior of the Eastern Black Sea and the steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia. Additionally, frost and ice are expected in the inland and eastern parts of the country, and caution is advised for potential negative impacts.
