Meteorology in Turkey: Storm and Rain Warning for Istanbul

The Istanbul Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that both a storm and heavy thunderstorm with rain are expected in the city tomorrow afternoon.

A storm and precipitation warning has been issued for Istanbul tomorrow.

In a post on the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s (İBB) social media account, following was shared; “Attention, Istanbul residents! According to AKOM data, a southwesterly storm is expected to occur throughout the city tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon, accompanied by heavy thunderstorms and rain. In case of any possible adverse situations, please contact ALO153.”
