Meteorology shares weather report for September 24, 2024: Rise in temperatures

The Meteorological Service has released the weather report for September 24. According to the latest forecasts, areas that have been experiencing heavy rain are expected to see a rise in temperatures. Temperatures are expected to increase by 2 to 4 degrees in central and eastern parts of Turkey, with no significant changes expected elsewhere. Here is the weather forecast, region by region:

According to the Turkish State Meteorological Service, Turkey is expected to be partly cloudy overall, with localized thunderstorms in the eastern Black Sea coast, the European side of Istanbul, Karabük, Bolu, Artvin, Ardahan, the south of Iğdır, and the northern parts of Van and Erzurum. Fog and mist are expected in the early morning hours in the eastern Marmara region and western Black Sea areas.

TEMPERATURE: Temperatures will rise by 2 to 4 degrees in central and eastern regions, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

WIND: Generally light to moderate winds are expected from the south and west in most of the country, and from the north in Southeastern Anatolia.

MARMARA REGION: 

Partly and mostly cloudy, with localized thunderstorms expected in the European side of Istanbul in the afternoon. Fog and mist are expected in the region’s east in the morning and at night. 

Istanbul: 27°C – Partly cloudy, with afternoon thunderstorms expected on the European side.

AEGEAN REGION: 
Partly cloudy, with more cloud cover in the interior regions. 

İzmir: 28°C – Partly cloudy. 
Muğla: 28°C – Partly cloudy.

MEDITERRANEAN REGION: 
Mostly clear and partly cloudy. 

Antalya: 30°C – Partly cloudy.

CENTRAL ANATOLIA REGION: 

Partly cloudy. 

Ankara: 23°C – Partly cloudy.

WESTERN BLACK SEA REGION: 

Partly and mostly cloudy, with localized thunderstorms expected around Bolu and Karabük in the afternoon. Fog and mist are expected in the morning and at night throughout the region.

CENTRAL AND EASTERN BLACK SEA REGION: 

Partly and mostly cloudy, with intermittent thunderstorms expected along the eastern Black Sea coast and Artvin. 

EASTERN ANATOLIA REGION: 

Partly and mostly cloudy, with localized thunderstorms expected in Ardahan, Ağrı, the south of Iğdır, and the northern parts of Van and Erzurum in the afternoon.
