Meteorology warning for 12 cities including Istanbul: Strong downpour alarm

The General Directorate of Meteorology issued a code yellow warning for 12 cities, including Istanbul, due to the expected heavy rain today. The precipitation is expected to be very strong in the vicinity of Kocaeli, severe and excessive in places in the vicinity of Sakarya, Düzce, Zonguldak and Bartın and in the northern parts of Kastamonu.

Accordingly, it is predicted that the whole of our country will be partly cloudy and cloudy, the Marmara, the Northern and Inner Aegean, the Eastern Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the Black Sea and the north of Eastern Anatolia with torrential and thundery downpours.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING

Precipitation is expected to be strong in the eastern Marmara, Western Black Sea, Central Black Sea coasts and Tekirdağ, Giresun, Rize, eastern Trabzon and northern parts of Artvin, very strong in Kocaeli, Sakarya, Düzce, Zonguldak and Bartın circles and in some places severe and extreme in the northern parts of Kastamonu.

Citizens were warned to be careful and cautious about possible flooding, flooding, lightning, transportation disruptions, as rain effect is expected to be severe and excessive in some places.
