MHP will not surprise this time
The last argument regarding the possibility of early elections which has been spoken about since the March 31 local elections was the rhetoric “The government cannot make it through the winter of 2022 in this economic picture”…
The latest statements about military operation planned into Syria are also associated with the election just like October 3600 additional indicators, EYT and efforts to raise the minimum wage are. However, officials from the ruling wing continue to say that the election will be held on time that is June 2023 or maybe in May 2023 as another possibility.
In his last speech, President Erdogan also gave the date of June 2023. The attitude of the MHP is also no different. MHP Chairman Devlet Bahceli has made statements many times so far that there will be no early elections.
However, eyes turn to the MHP as it has made calls for early elections, several times before in other alliances/coalitions.
OFFICIAL SAYS MHP WILL NOT SURPRISE THIS TIME
Regarding the issue, a senior MHP official has replied to the question, “Considering your past calls, there is always talk that you may come up with a surprise for an early election. What would you comment on that” with the following answer: “Then let’s just say, MHP will not surprise you this time.” The same official acknowledged the economic difficulties, saying, “The election is still 13 months away. An intelligent government does not waste this time. This time frame will be used to improve the situation, and this is being done.”
