Millions of Home and Business Owners Must Pay: Deadline Starts Today

Property owners earning rental income can submit their tax declarations until March 31, 2026. Those whose income exceeds the exempt thresholds will pay income tax, while those below the limit are not required to submit a declaration.
For 2025, the exemption threshold for residential rental income is set at 47,000 TL, and for commercial properties, it is 330,000 TL. Property owners exceeding these limits become tax liable.
For income derived from properties owned by family members, each individual must submit a separate declaration for their share. If a property is registered under multiple owners, each co-owner declares only the portion of rental income corresponding to their share.
How to Submit the Declaration
Declarations can be easily submitted through the Revenue Administration’s (GİB) Ready Declaration System. In addition, the Digital Tax Office also provides access to declarations. These systems allow for quick and secure submission of rental income declarations.
Payment Options
Taxpayers have multiple options for paying their assessed income tax. Payments can be made through the Digital Tax Office, via participating banks using debit or credit cards, through bank transfers, with international bank cards, at tax office counters, authorized banks, and PTT branches.
Payment Deadlines
Rental income taxes for 2025 can be paid in two equal installments. The first installment and stamp duty are due by March 31, 2026, and the second installment is due by July 31, 2026.
