Muğla Shines as a Leading Destination for International Visitors
Muğla, one of Turkey’s most prominent tourism hubs, continues to attract visitors from around the world. Nestled where the Mediterranean and Aegean seas meet, the city is celebrated for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, ancient cities, and luxurious resorts. Beyond its sun, sea, and sand, Muğla captivates tourists with its rich history and natural beauty, making it one of Turkey’s most beloved travel destinations.
According to data from the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, nearly 2.5 million foreign tourists visited Muğla in the first eight months of the year, reaching a total of 2,494,898 international arrivals.
British Tourists Lead the Way
Muğla continues to be a top favorite among British travelers. Of the total visitors, the largest group came from the United Kingdom, with 1,045,467 tourists. They were followed by 280,887 visitors from Russia, 218,853 from Poland, 156,132 from Germany, and 65,919 from the Netherlands. Additionally, 727,640 tourists arrived from various other countries, reinforcing Muğla’s global appeal.
With its combination of world-class resorts, breathtaking coastlines, and vibrant cultural heritage, Muğla remains one of Turkey’s strongest tourism magnets — a destination that effortlessly blends relaxation, adventure, and history.
