Pan Am Returns After 34 Years: “A New Golden Age” of Luxury Travel

The Iconic Airline Takes to the Skies Once More
The world-famous Pan American World Airways, better known as Pan Am, is making a grand comeback after 34 years under the slogan “A New Golden Age.” The legendary brand is returning not just as an airline, but as a full-fledged luxury travel group and hotel brand.
A new investor group has officially applied to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for an air operator certificate, aiming to relaunch Pan Am flights by 2026. However, the skies won’t be easy to conquer — the airline industry is now dominated by powerful players such as Delta, United, American Airlines, and Southwest.
Beyond the Skies: Pan Am Enters the Hotel World
Pan Am’s rebirth goes far beyond aviation. The brand is expanding into luxury hospitality with its own hotel and suite concepts. Among its already operating venues are Pan Am Suites and Pan Am Lounge in Berlin, along with Die Josefine and The Guest House in Vienna.
The expansion continues with the upcoming Pan Am Hotel by Hilton, set to open in mid-2026 near Los Angeles in Commerce, California. This property will be part of Hilton’s prestigious Tapestry Collection, blending iconic Pan Am nostalgia with contemporary elegance.
A New Strategy for a New Era
The reimagined Pan Am aims to become more than just an airline. The brand’s vision is to create a seamless, high-end travel ecosystem that captures the glamour and sophistication of air travel’s golden age — from flight to accommodation, and every luxury detail in between.
