New price hike in gasoline and diesel prices to be effective midnight, October 15

Gasoline and diesel prices are getting a raise from midnight tonight. Although part of the 40-cent hike in gasoline will be covered by SCT (Special Consumption Tax), the balance is expected to be reflected in pump prices, at 17 cents.

Based on info by industry sources, a 40-cent hike will be applied to gasoline and a 41-cent hike to diesel to be effective October 16, Saturday.

After the 40-cent hike that will be applied to gasoline, the hike that will be reflected in pump prices is calculated as 17 cents. The entire 41-cent hike will be reflected in diesel prices.

SCT had been set to zero in LPG, earlier

After the hikes, the price per liter of the diesel will increase from 7.53 to 7.94 in Istanbul, from 7.61 to 8.02 in Ankara and from 7.62 to 8.03 in Izmir. Prices vary regionally and from company to company.

The price of a liter of gasoline will increase from 7.78 to 7.95 in Istanbul, from 7.84 to 8.01 in Ankara, from 7.85 to 8.02 in Izmir after the hikes.
