New regulation from the Ministry of Health: Remote examination and treatment will be possible

The regulation on remote health care was published in the Official Gazette. According to the regulation, it will be possible for citizens to be examined remotely and have observation and follow-up. It will also be possible to write e-prescription and e-reports. Even remote surgical intervention will be be performed, doctors in Turkey will be able to take care of patients from all over the world.

The purpose of the regulation, which appeared in today’s edition of the Official Gazette, was emphasized as regulating the procedures and principles for the provision of health care based on technology, regardless of location and geography.

In the regulation, “Remote health care” was defined as:

“This regulation refers to the health service provided by a member of the health profession to a person requesting health care through a remote health information system in medical facilities that have received a permit to operate in accordance with the provisions of this regulation.
