As part of the sanctions package, EU countries will stop importing Russian oil, the President of the European Commission said, adding that the import ban on crude oil will be phased in within six months. Ursula von der Leyen said: “We propose an embargo on Russian oil. We will gradually end the supply of crude oil from Russia within 6 months, and the supply of refined products by the end of the year. In the sanctions package, there is also the removal of Sberbank and other large banks from Swift.”
