President Gül says all parties should be careful and patient during solution process
Mr Abdullah GUL (President of Turkey) made a statement saying it was necessary to be careful and patient during the solution process to Kurdish issue. Gül went on to say “We should not see everything through rose-colored glasses. I always believe it is beneficial that everybody contributes in the process in a constructive manner to get rid of this big problem”. The President also emphasized that it was essential for the terror organization to lay down weapons completely for peace tol ast.
It was reported by on Tuesday by Onder (deputy of pro-Kurdish BDP party) that the terror organization would begin to withdraw from Turkey after April 25.
The 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Parliament celebrated
Marked as “National Sovereignty and Children’s Day”, this occasion offers children the opportunity to celebrate this important day as a present from Atatürk to Turkish children.
However this time it also offered an opportunity for the country’s political leaders to deliver their messages concerning both the Constitution drafting process within the Parliament and the ongoing government-led peace process in a parliament session which convened on this special day.
PACE decides to continue its post-monitoring dialogue with Turkey
During its ongoing spring meetings in Strasbourg, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a political resolution on Turkey and decided to continue its post-monitoring dialogue with the country.
On the other hand Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) described members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which is listed as a terrorist organization in the EU, the US and Turkey, as “activists.”
Bourse Istanbul does well on the first day following 23 April holiday
The stock market in Istanbul, BORSA ISTANBUL as it is now called, started the day with a good performance and the index (BIST 100) was up at the opening of the morning session on Wednesday.
The benchmark BIST-100 index increased 725.34 points compared to closing of Monday’s second session and opened at 84,748.70.
Stocks gained 0.86 percent in value.
Davutoğlu sayd Erdoğan can go to Gaza with Abbas
FM Davutoğlu has made a statement saying “The main parameter of Erdoğan’s visit to Gaza is not what Kerry said. It is the reconciliation talks between the Palestinians. If the Palestinians agree, it may be possible for PM to go to Gaza with Abbas”.
Earlier US Foeign Secretary Kerry had commented that it would be better for Turkish PM to postpone his visit to Gaza. The issue was if Erdoğan would refrain from realizing planned visit based on said comment by Kerry.
