Odeabank opens headquarters in Istanbul

Foreign banks which prefer to enter the stable  Turkish market keep coming one after the after.

Thanks to the strong financial administration of the current government and the strict monetary policies of Central Bank of Turkey, this country is considered to be very favorable for foreign funds looking for fertile markets.

Among these newcomers, we can now see ODEABANK, originally a Lebanon based establishment (Bank Audi) which is reported to be planning to open five branches by year’s end.

The bank has stated that is targets to enter other markets such as Ankara and Izmir after it has opened Istanbul branches.

The group which is known to have an important share in the Lebanese market has also stated that “its growth in the Turkish market in the coming years is among of the bank’s main priorities”.

Adeabank has acquired the approval to begin its operations in the Turkish market – (obtained from BDDK,Turkish Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency) and is scheduled to operate under the name Odeabank in Turkey.

The headquarters of the bank is now in operation at  Maslak  (Olive Plaza) and it is reported that a group of 200 employees are working for the bank, currently.

The bank has stated its target is to increase this number to 2,000 and also plans to establish ATM machines and to provide internet and mobile banking services to its clients.
