Operation of private hospital where an elderly woman was humiliated was stopped

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that the hospital’s activities had been stopped while an investigation was underway regarding the staff of Bayındır Hospital in Istanbul Ataşehir involved in degrading behavior to an elderly patient.

Images of the staff throwing money in the face of an elderly woman lying in the intensive care unit and swearing insults led to resentment on social media. An investigation had been launched by the Anadolu chief prosecutor’s office.

Minister Koca announced on his Twitter account that the hospital’s activities had been stopped as follows: “The ACTIVITY of a private hospital where behaviors incompatible with the principles of health care and humanity are shown has BEEN STOPPED. The criminals will receive the punishment they deserve. We do not tolerate any acts that undermine confidence in health. The sadness of the true members of our profession is indescribable.”
