Opposition leader KILICDAROGLU: We will change this order

Visiting a family whose electricity was cut off, CHP leader KILICDAROGLU said: “We will change this order, I believe in this nation. People have a conscience. Conscience will not accept such dramatic pictures”

CHP Chairman and his wife have visited the house of Gullu Demir, who lives in the Keçioren district of Ankara and has been out of power for 4 months due to debt. After his visit the chairman said “We have visited a family whose electricity has been out for 4 months and shared following:

“It was a conversation that made me feel emotional. He has 3 children. We had a little talk inside. What makes me feel, deeply upsets me is he said, ‘My eldest son, today is April 23rd, all his friends are going to school, having fun, singing songs but my son cried at home. Why don’t we have a TV, why don’t we have a light?’”

”What we call conscience is very important”

The opposition leader also said, “I want to wake the conscience of society. The conscience of society should have a voice. Society should give a voice to injustice and say ‘enough is enough’. Our neighborly relations are also very important. The concept of injustice is very important for us. In such a picture, I see that the conscience of the people in power is dulled. They don’t see this picture, they are not even aware of this picture.”

WE WILL CHANGE THIS ORDER TOGETHER

KILICDAROGLU went on to say: “Again, I would like to tell my people this. We will change this order, I believe in the freedom of this nation, I trust it. People have a conscience. This conscience will not accept such dramatic pictures. I hope that we will change all of this together and bring peace to this nation. We will bring blessings to this country. No child in this country will go to bed hungry. No child will be left in the dark.”
