Protests in Istanbul: “Withdraw price hikes, monopolies should pay the bill”

The “Istanbul Coordination for Decommissioning of Hikes”, where political parties, professional organizations and democratic mass organizations came together in Istanbul, took action by saying “we can’t get along” and burned bills.

The “Istanbul Coordination for the Withdrawal of Hikes” held a press release on Kadıköy Iskele Square to protest the hikes on electricity, natural gas, fuel oil and basic consumer goods. Opening the banners saying “Take back the hikes”, the audience often shouted the slogans “Budget for the worker, not the palace”, “Government resign”, “Workers will make AKP account for it”, “Withdraw the hikes.”
