Putin lists demands, signals green light for “Ceasefire with Ukraine”
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that negotiations could begin if Ukraine withdrew its forces from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia, and abandons its plans to join NATO.
During a meeting in Moscow attended by senior officials from the Russian Foreign Ministry, Putin made several remarks about the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
“Not Invited to the Conference in Switzerland”
Putin expressed that Russia had not been invited to the conference in Switzerland. He emphasized that it was impossible to find a solution for Ukraine and European security without Russia and without engaging in an open and responsible dialogue with them.
Putin Outlines Conditions
President Putin laid out the conditions for starting negotiations with Ukraine. He stated that if Ukraine withdrew its forces from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia, and renounced its desire to join NATO, then Russia would be willing to begin talks.
