Retaliation Begins: Iran Strikes Israel

Tehran has begun retaliating against Tel Aviv’s major offensive. Reports state that Iran has launched hundreds of missiles, breaching the Iron Dome and striking seven locations. The Israeli army has called on citizens to “remain in shelters.”
According to a statement from the Israeli army spokesperson, missiles have been fired from Iran toward Israel.
The statement emphasized that air defense systems were attempting to intercept the missiles and urged Israeli citizens to stay in shelters.
Additionally, alerts rang out on cellphones across Israel, instructing people to head to shelters.
Iran’s official news agency IRNA announced that hundreds of ballistic missiles had been launched toward Israel.
The country’s state television also confirmed that “Iran’s military retaliation against Israel had begun.”
During this time, explosions were heard in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. According to Israeli army radio, Iran breached the Iron Dome and struck seven locations in the missile attack.

Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom reported that seven people have been injured so far.

IRNA had reported that Iran downed two Israeli warplanes, noting the fate of the pilots was unknown. However, Israeli officials have denied this claim made by IRNA.
