Saudi Arabia to require PCR and antigen testing for Umrah
Saudi Arabia has updated its procedures for entering the country in order to protect the health of umrah visitors. A written statement from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that those who came to the country for umrah or visiting were asked for an approved negative PCR or antigen test taken within the last 48 hours, regardless of their immune status.
The statement noted that the implementation of the procedures in question will begin as of February 9, 2022.
Saudi Arabia had previously announced that as of October 10, 2021, only those who have had 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine would be allowed to perform Umrah and worship.
