Ski Yodl Shuts Down as British Ski Travel Company Cancels All 2026 Bookings

If you were planning a ski holiday with UK travel company Ski Yodl, there is some disappointing news. The British ski specialist has officially ceased trading after entering voluntary liquidation, bringing an immediate end to its operations and cancelling every remaining booking for 2026.
The announcement affects customers who had already booked winter holidays through the company, with many now looking for information about refunds and financial protection.
All Future Bookings Have Been Cancelled
Norwich-based Ski Yodl confirmed that it has stopped operating and that all travel reservations scheduled for the rest of 2026 have been cancelled.
The company, founded in 2018, built its reputation by offering ski holiday packages to some of the world’s most popular winter destinations. These included resorts across the French Alps as well as Sapporo in northern Japan, a city famous for its excellent snow conditions and winter sports.
In addition to package holidays, Ski Yodl also operated an online booking platform that connected travellers with mountain hotels, chalets and holiday homes.
Customers Advised to Contact ABTA
Following the company’s decision to enter voluntary liquidation, customers have been advised to contact the Association of British Travel Agents, better known as ABTA.
According to the company, eligible customers may be able to recover their money through ABTA’s financial protection scheme, particularly if their booking was an ABTA-protected package holiday that included flights.
Travellers are encouraged to begin the claims process as soon as possible and keep all booking confirmations and payment records ready when making a claim.
A Difficult Time for the UK Travel Industry
Ski Yodl’s closure reflects the wider challenges facing many travel businesses in the UK.
Rising operating costs, higher staffing expenses and increasing competition from online travel platforms have made it more difficult for traditional travel agencies to remain profitable. More travellers are now choosing to book flights, accommodation and activities directly online, reducing demand for specialist tour operators.
Although Ski Yodl served a niche market, its closure is another reminder of the pressures currently affecting the travel industry. Customers with cancelled holidays should check whether their bookings qualify for financial protection and follow the guidance provided by ABTA to arrange refunds or compensation where available.
